Brandon Johnson
U.S. Army Combat Veteran – Operation Iraqi Freedom, 2004-2005, 2007-2008.
My service in the Military is where I began my training as a therapist. Living in a “war zone” for a long period of time, taught me how to “lean on my brothers (and sisters) in arms” for support. Leading troops into
combat was the most terrifying and gratifying experience that I have had in my life……. So far.
As a therapist I have worked in a variety of Settings, including, Residential treatment centers, outpatient
therapy, inpatient clinics, hospitals, and Wilderness therapy. I have worked with hundreds of clients,
and hundreds of families over the years. I love my work, getting to know and help my clients, and
learning and growing from each new client that I work with.
Humans are Humans, and the range of human behavior is equal to us all. No matter what behavior is
causing us problems in our lives, we can change it. If we address what is driving that problem behavior
and get help and support form others, we are all capable of making change. (We are not equipped to do life alone)
I enjoy golfing. If could take a life Mulligan, I would go back to being a little kid, and play and practice golf a lot more. I would love to be a professional golfer. Instead, I play for fun and relaxation (personal anger management lessons). I am a competitive person, I love to compete, and I love being out in nature. I love the mountains and playing in the mountains. I enjoy skiing, fly fishing, hunting, and exploring nature. I also enjoy cooking, making arts and crafts, watching movies, and listening to my favorite music.
