Our Philosophy

Mulligan Counseling Services is dedicated to providing clinical excellence, integrity, and commitment to our clients. We don't give up on people.

The Mulligan Vision

Life is hard, and all of us are left to navigate through it as best we can;  frequently without experience, a “how-to” guide, or the ability to see unfamiliar issues before they show up.

Because of this, as human beings we all make mistakes, and sometimes find ourselves stuck, struggling to cope, understand, or just trying to figure out what’s next.

Our approach is based on recognizing that the routine and often-extraordinary challenges that people face in their everyday lives are not the end, but the opportunity.

In golf, a “Mulligan” is a do-over.  We don’t get do-overs in the real world, but through creating a healthy relationship with painful experiences (“failure,” setbacks, mistakes, or whatever you’d like to call them) and learning from them, a chance does exist for us to learn, grow, adapt and improve.

At Mulligan, we believe that failure only exists when we give up, and that taking another shot at life’s obstacles can bring unimaginable growth, purpose, meaning and satisfaction.  There are no shortcuts, but there is a path forward.  Let us be your guides.
